‘We’re not going anywhere,’ Cobb County business owners prepare for grand opening after multiple moves

ACWORTH, Ga. — In Downtown Acworth, some old favorites stand out. Ryan Blankenberger and Lisa Mack call themselves an unlikely duo that just won’t die. The pair own Acworth Antiques and Acworth Vintage and Vinyl, two community mainstays.

“I’m very traditional, Ryan’s very creepy and weird in a great way,” Mack said. “Our previous store, we were there for 12 years and we lost our lease. They decided to subdivide the building, and it just didn’t work for our purposes. This was a big empty warehouse. We’ve torn down walls, Ryan’s rebuilt walls, and we just kind of turned into what we wanted it to be.”

The stores stood on the brink of death. After surviving a pandemic, multiple moves and changing trends, Blankenberger and Mack had to leave their original 10,000 sq. ft. space and squeeze into a much smaller one that measured around 1700 sq. ft. The business partners said that back in June 2023, they were given a 60-day notice to move out in order to build a multi-purpose building…
