12 injured in Forsyth County school bus crash caused by ‘distracted’ driver, GSP says

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A bus full of elementary students on a field trip was involved in a crash Monday morning, the Forsyth County School District said.

It happened on Ga. 400 in Lumpkin County just before 10 a.m. The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) said it happened when the driver became distracted.

“The driver of the school bus was distracted by a conversation with another employee inside the bus, causing the bus to rear-end a passenger car stopped at a traffic signal,” the GSP said in a statement…
