Driver loses control, killed after crashing into tree while street racing in Duluth; other driver arrested

DULUTH, Ga. — Gwinnett County Police said a driver has been arrested after a street racing crash in Duluth led to the other driver involved being killed.

Two vehicles were racing along Breckinridge Boulevard when one of the drivers lost control and crashed into a tree, police said.

Officers said the other driver, identified as Catalan Vazquez, left the scene. Police later took him into custody on charges of first-degree vehicular homicide, reckless driving, and several other vehicle related charges…
