The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office will debut Bond Beyond Bars, a family-centered initiative, launched by Sheriff Craig Owens, to help incarcerated parents maintain and strengthen meaningful relationships with their children.
The inaugural event will take place 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 26 at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, where selected detainees will have the opportunity to participate in face-to-face visits with their children in a structured and supportive environment. For at least one participating parent, the event will mark the first time they have met their child in person.
“Our role goes beyond maintaining custody,” Owens said. “We are also focused on creating opportunities that encourage accountability, personal growth, and stronger family relationships. Bond Beyond Bars reflect our belief that rehabilitation is stronger when families stay connected.”…
