Residents should not place used motor oil in trash or recycling. Oil can mix with other chemicals and harm water—just one quart can contaminate up to 250,000 gallons. Used motor oil and oil filters can be dropped off for free at any of the 3 County Recycling Centers: Tolbert St, Old Atlanta, or Coal Mountain.
