Man accused of attacking inmate with shank in Cobb Court Cell

Andre J’mar Robinson, 41, of Powder Springs, is accused of pulling two shanks from his socks and attacking a man on March 26 at 2:50 p.m. in the intake cell of Cobb State Court, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office.

The first shank was made using five plastic sporks, bound together using an adhesive strip and string. The other shank was made using four sporks bound together the same way. Robinson had a shank in each hand while striking the victim, who sustained superficial wounds around his mouth and under his left eye, according to the warrant.

Robinson is charged with aggravated assault. He was arrested on Dec. 30, 2025, at 5:45 p.m. on other charges and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records…
