CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A Georgia woman was found guilty and sentenced to four decades in prison for abusing her own child.
The verdict comes after an investigation that began in April 2023, after a Cherokee County elementary school teacher expressed concerns about child abuse involving a student in her class.
