A Georgia man has been convicted of battery and other charges in connection with a 2023 domestic violence incident in Canton.
On March 27, a Cherokee County jury convicted Desmond Marquis Herbin of false imprisonment, family violence battery, cruelty to children in the third degree, and criminal trespass, the Cherokee County District Attorney’s Office announced. The battery charge was a lesser included offense from an original charge of aggravated assault.
