A woman was arrested in Forsyth County after she allegedly used a victim’s credit card to purchase almost $2,000 worth of merchandise at a Walmart store in the county.
According to a social media post from the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, the victim received a notification from American express that a transaction was declined at the store on Market Place Boulevard on March 23. The victim then looked at his bank account and found two pending approved transactions from the same location amounting to almost $2,000. The victim had apparently misplaced his wallet earlier in the day.
Investigators then went to the store location and received video footage of the transactions taking place. In the footage, a suspect later identified as Maria Susanibar, was seen purchasing two pairs of Air Pods, one gaming computer, and an Epson printer, allegedly with the victim’s credit card. She also purchased a bag of charcoal.
Authorities were able to identify the suspect’s car and discovered that Susanibar was previously issued a citation from FCSO, where she had told a deputy that she worked at a local hospital. Investigators then worked with hospital security and confirmed Susanibar was employed there…
