James Lang, 38, of Dallas, is accused of trafficking fentanyl on April 3 at 11:30 p.m. at I-75 in Kennesaw, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
Lang was found in possession of eight grams of fentanyl, two pills of gabapentin and one pill of alprazolam inside a bag that was hidden in his underwear.
He alerted officers to the presence of the drugs after being placed under arrest, but prior to arriving at the jail. He also possessed a Transdermal fentanyl patch in his wallet alongside his debit cards. He told officers that he had consumed a large amount of fentanyl just prior to the traffic stop in order to destroy the evidence.
