Doris Jordan died the morning of Dec. 28, 2019, one day after getting plastic surgery at Lawrenceville, Ga., clinic, Sei Bello. According to 2022 court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Jordan suffered from brain damage caused by a lack of oxygen.
After the surgery, the patient, who received general anesthesia, was moved to the recovery room and placed on monitors at approximately 6:45 p.m., the same time that a nurse had difficulty obtaining her oxygen levels. At one point, Doris was cited as “not moving” and unable to be awakened. Although attempts were made to wake her up through verbal and sternal stimuli, her difficulty breathing went unrecognized for 15 minutes…
