Due to ongoing drought conditions throughout the state, Cobb County farmers can now be considered for emergency assistance, according to the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
Last week, the department designated 126 Georgia counties as primary natural disaster areas due to the dry conditions, and added an additional 20 counties to that list Monday, bringing the total to 146.
While Cobb is not on that list, it is considered a “contiguous county” located near a primary natural disaster area…
