ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Forsyth County leaders have voted to extend a moratorium on residential development for another 180 days as officials work to address mounting concerns over infrastructure and explosive population growth.
The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously this week to continue the moratorium through October. County leaders said the temporary pause will allow officials time to evaluate whether roads, water systems and other infrastructure can support the county’s rapid expansion.
