‘It’s traumatic’: Alpharetta neighbors speak out against HOA’s beaver traps

ALPHARETTA, Ga. — Residents in one Alpharetta neighborhood say they are upset after learning that beavers in their community are being trapped and killed instead of relocated.

Alison Manning, who has lived in the Deer Lake subdivision for 13 years, said neighbors recently received an email from the neighborhood HOA about traps being placed around the lake to address what it describes as a “beaver problem.”

“I think it’s a little bit difficult that we’re trying to pick and choose animals we want and which ones we don’t,” Manning said…
