Restaurant Report Card: Takaya Revolving Sushi fails with 28; Bertolozi’s earns 100

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A Gwinnett County health inspector took photographs of critical health violations inside a metro Atlanta sushi restaurant.

Takaya Revolving Sushi on Holcomb Bridge Road in Peachtree Corners failed with only 28 points and a “U” for unsatisfactory. The report says tuna was thawing in the handwashing sink, salmon intended for cooked consumption was served as raw sushi and opened food containers were stored outside in a shed.

The person in charge of the restaurant during Atlanta News First’s visit said the food is now safe to eat. She took us out to the storage shed to point out the improvements made. That said, we noticed they left the back door to the kitchen open rather than closed…
