DUNWOODY, Ga. — City officials are in talks with the United States Postal Service about buying the post office building in Dunwoody Village.
The city has long sought to purchase the 14,000-square-foot building at 1551 Dunwoody Village Parkway that sits in the middle of the Village surrounded by more than 2 acres of parking. City leaders have said the site is a great location for a park or other community amenity that would help fulfill their vision to transform the suburban shopping center in the heart of the city into a vibrant, walkable district.
