MARIETTA, Ga. — A crash involving a pair of tractor-trailers, and a passenger car has left one motorist dead in metro Atlanta.
According to a press release published to Facebook, the Marietta Police Department (MPD) is investigating the crash that occurred just before 1:00 a.m. Friday morning, in the middle lanes of Interstate 75 southbound on the bridge over North Marietta Parkway.
Police say the initial on-scene investigation revealed that an unrelated accident had occurred a few hours prior that had all southbound lanes shut down. While southbound traffic was stopped, a tractor-trailer being operated by 29-year-old Mayki Marcelin, of Davenport, Fla. was stopped with surrounding traffic on the bridge over North Marietta Parkway…
