AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — A Ten Commandments monument was placed outside Amarillo City Hall Wednesday.

Cole Stanley, as a private citizen, hosted a presentation and prayer event for the new Ten Commandments monument at city hall.
As was previously reported on Myhighplains.com, the monument was discussed and paid for by current and previous members of the Amarillo City Council in 2024.
The monument faced scrutiny by some city council members and citizens. An attorney was retained by the city last year if the monument was to face legal issues.
