Verizon reports cut fiber responsible for cellular outage Tuesday

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — A spokesperson with Verizon reported that a fiber cut is causing service interruptions in the West Texas area Tuesday.

Area residents were reporting cellphone outages late in the afternoon on social media.

“A fiber cut is causing service interruption for customers in the West Texas area. Our engineers are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it quickly,” said Verizon.
