A New Traffic Light for FM 2219 and VFW
My husband works off of FM 2219, and sometimes you can get stuck at that 4-way stop for way longer than it should take. Since that area has grown so much, traffic is insane on a lot of that stretch. The Texas Department of Transportation has been doing a good job of upgrading the road. They have put traffic lights at Hunsley Road and at Country Club Drive in Canyon, and now it’s time for FM 2219 and VFW.
When Will the FM 2219 Signal Be Fully Working?
I reached out to Jason Britsch, PIO of the Texas Department of Transportation Amarillo District, to find out when the lights would be fully functioning. He said that the signal lights should be flashing today, Thursday, August 6, to help drivers get used to seeing them.
They are expecting to have them fully operating by the end of this week or early next week…
