UPDATE: First Responders Memorial making major progress in construction

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Officials with Friends of AJ Swope released an update on the construction progress for the First Responders Memorial site.

Officials said on Aug. 14 that construction crews have made major progress on the First Responders Memorial, including installing bollards, pouring sidewalks and ADA ramps, and that the porcelain has arrived.

Friends of AJ Swope added that next week construction will ramp up and be transformational as some of the most anticipated elements of the memorial begin to take shape.
