CANYON, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The City of Canyon appointed an interim Municipal Court Judge during its city commissioners’ meeting on Tuesday.
The city appointed Mike Criswell to the position in a 5-0 vote Tuesday. Criswell will serve for the remainder of the current judge’s term, which is scheduled to end on Jan. 21, 2027.

According to the city, the Canyon Municipal Court remains temporarily closed as it goes through staffing changes. Payments can be made online at www.CanyonTX.gov or by calling the automated payment system at 833-318-2856.
