AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — A well-known barbecue chef is heading to Amarillo for a feast to celebrate his new book. Panhandle PBS said the Savor the Goods: Fire & Flavor with Steven Raichlen event will take place from 6:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 1 at Arts in the Sunset in the Legacy Room.
Chef Steven Raichlen hosts multiple PBS shows, including Planet Barbecue, Project Fire, Project Smoke, and the past series Primal Grill and Barbecue University. His new book is not a cookbook, but a memoir about his journey to becoming a well-known BBQ chef. The Barbecue Bible is his best-known book.
Raichlen said a local pitmaster, Tyler Frazer, owner and operator of Tyler’s Barbeque, will prepare a dinner inspired by Steven’s career in the industry…
