AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Data center developments in Potter and Randall counties are among hundreds across Texas being investigated after failing to respond to a state water-use survey, Attorney General Ken Paxton announced Wednesday.
Paxton’s office said it is investigating Texas data center developments that did not provide a response to the Texas Water Development Board’s survey, which collects information about water use from certain entities that use groundwater or surface water.
The attorney general’s office did not identify the developments under investigation in Potter and Randall counties, how many are involved locally or the amount of water they may use. ABC 7 News contacted Paxton’s office for of list of the data centers…
