Xcel Energy proposal aims to protect customers from data center costs

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Xcel Energy submitted a proposal to Texas regulators aimed at preventing existing customers from taking on added costs as electricity demand from data centers and other large users grows.

The company filed a proposed large load tariff with the Public Utility Commission of Texas.
