HUTCHINSON COUNTY, Texas (KVII) — Recent September rainfall improved drought conditions across parts of the Texas Panhandle and helped raise Lake Meredith, though much of the region remains in drought.
Amarillo received 7.79 inches of rain in September, according to Michael Kittinger, meteorologist in charge at the National Weather Service Amarillo.
