Stinky Fire debris cleanup gets green light

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — Months after the Stinky Fire damaged homes and properties, debris is still scattered along roads and across affected areas.

For residents, it is a reminder of what they lost — and that recovery is far from over.

Now, Potter County has contracted with Lace Construction to handle debris removal. County Judge Nancy Tanner said the company will start with brush removal, and officials hope to have the debris cleared before the first snowfall…
