Amarillo native appears in 2 Oscar-nominated films

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Amarillo native, Dustin Tucker is a part of two projects that are nominated for Best Picture in this year’s Oscars’. The films being considered are “American Fiction” and “The Holdovers.”

In the film “The Holders,” Tucker plays a teacher at an exclusive boys boarding school. In “American Fiction,” he plays an uptight neighbor.

According to Brick & Elm Magazine, he was a student at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School Amarillo and Amarillo Little Theatre Academy.

After leaving the Yellow City he finished his education at Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan which has a list of notable alumni including musicians, actresses, dancers, and arts administrators. Tucker currently lives in Maine.
