Las Vegas man indicted in Amarillo Federal Court after January flight diversion incident, arrest

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – A Las Vegas man accused of punching a flight attendant and later kicking a police officer in an early-January incident was indicted in Amarillo Federal Court on Thursday, according to court documents.

Keith Fagiana of Las Vegas was indicted on one count of “Interference with Flight Crew” in Amarillo Federal Court, according to filed documents, after a Jan. 3 incident on an American Airlines flight from Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) to Bozeman (BZN).

The indictment detailed that Fagiana was accused of allegedly interfering “with the performance of the duties of a flight crew member and flight attendant of the aircraft,” through assault and intimidation. As previously reported on MyHighPlains.com, Fagiana allegedly yelled expletives at a flight attendant when he was asked not to kick another passenger’s chair and punched the flight attendant multiple times before he was restrained.

The flight was diverted to the Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport (AMA) where law enforcement officers waited to take Fagiana into custody. Fagiana was reported previously to have allegedly kicked one of the Amarillo Airport Police Officers, and was arrested at the time on a charge of flight crew interference.
