No injuries reported in 2 connected home fires on Thursday morning in southwest Amarillo

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Officials with the Amarillo Fire Department reported information on two connected structure fires on Thursday morning in southwest Amarillo in which no injuries were reported.

According to officials, crews were called to the 4900 block of Chisholm Drive on Thursday on a “possible structure fire.” Upon arrival, crews found a fire outside that began to spread between two homes.

Firefighting crews entered both homes and found fire in the attics of each home and, according to officials, crews began to extinguish the fire. The fires were considered under control just before 5 a.m. with no injuries reported, and officials described the incident as “undetermined/unintentional.”
