AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Brayden’s Gift and Barnes Jewelry are hosting the upcoming Shine for Autism Emerald Gala on Feb. 10 at Sunset Center, Legacy Hall located at 3701 Plains Blvd and proceeds will go to support local children with autism.
“Once we had our first application, we were like it’s real. We need to start getting our fundraisers together,” said President and Founder of Brayden’s Gift, Shay Morath. “Once we got our first fundraiser underway, God blessed it so much. We’ve had the turnout…the people that we’ve helped so far, it’s been truly awesome.”
Brayden’s Gift is a local non-profit organization that provides resources for families that need financial aid for their autistic child.
Morath said that fundraisers, such as the gala, are important to their organization.
“We’ve had the funds that we’ve needed to give back and 100% of the proceeds that are given to us, we turn right back into the community,” said Morath. “All of our fundraisers are so important because these families need help, and we cannot help them without community involvement.”
