Gracie’s Project offering Valentine’s photos during Saturday fundraiser

Roses are red and Valentines are sweet. Why not give your dog a treat?

If you’re thinking of something different to do for Valentine’s Day, Gracie’s Project has a nice gift for your furry friend, somone close or yourself. On Saturday, Feb. 3 from 1 to 3 p.m., Gracies’s new office / shop, located at 34th and Georgia in the Westhaven Village shopping center, is offering pet photos for $15 with you and your pet, or just your pet.

According to volunteer Vanissa Brown, there is no need for reservations, just be sure the dog is on a leash. In addition to the photo, people can order special Valentine’s Day cookies (for humans) to be delivered Feb. 10. Other gifts and gently used dog items are on sale in their thrift shop, contained in the same building.

All funds will go toward the upkeep for their shelter between Canyon and Umbarger, which houses around 250 dogs.
