‘HeArt of CASA Art Gallery’ to benefit Amarillo Area CASA in Friday event

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The “HeArt of CASA Art Gallery” will be open for visitors at Sharpened Iron Studios on Friday, with the aim of showcasing the works of regional artists and local children in foster care to benefit Amarillo Area CASA.

According to organizers, the gallery will be open from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Friday at Sharpened Iron Studios in Amarillo, with the artwork on display available for sale. All proceeds from the gallery sales are expected to go toward Amarillo Area CASA to support its work in advocating for area children.

“We believe that the HeArt of CASA Art Gallery is not only an opportunity to support a noble cause but also a powerful platform to shed light on the vital work Amarillo Area CASA does for our most vulnerable children,” said organizers in an event announcement.

As described on its website, Amarillo Area CASA is an organization of “Court Appointed Special Advocates” for the Amarillo area, who work to advocate for children impacted by abuse and neglect by speaking up for their best interests in court, at school and around the community. Judges appoint CASA volunteers to make “independent, unbiased, and informed recommendations to help the judge decide the best interest of the child.”
