AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Cowboys and cowgirls get ready for a night full of fun at the Arts in the Sunset. A chance to celebrate with your valentine over dinner and dancing along with special guests and West Texas native Jean Prescott.
“I think a lot of people are looking for things to do to celebrate the special one in their life during Valentine’s. And I think it’s nice to offer something that’s not just going to a restaurant and sitting and eating and doing the same old thing and getting to get out and actually be around different people and be around the community,” said Executive Director of Amarillo Art Institute Rachel Flores.
This will be the first year that Arts in the Sunset will be hosting a Valentine’s Day event.
“We thought it would be a great fit to be able to offer people kind of an artistic night where you get to enjoy culinary arts as well as the musical arts in a very visually artistically pleasing location,” said Flores.
All of the money raised during the Cowboys Sweetheart Dinner and Dance will benefit the Amarillo Art Institute and help them keep doing their community programs.
