Amarillo Town Club to temporarily shut down indoor Aquatics Center

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Town Club announced today that it is temporarily shutting down its indoor Aquatics Center at the Cornell location for “scheduled facility maintenance.”

According to the press release, the duration time of the closure will be between six to 10 weeks.

Maintenance will include:

  • Deep cleaning of the pool deck and other surfaces.
  • Updated paint and tile.
  • Roof repairs.
  • Other necessary repairs and updates.

“Like any facility, our Aquatics Center requires maintenance as it ages. By performing these necessary updates, we can continue to offer our members the best facilities and programs in the area,” said ATC officials.

MEMBERS IMPACT:

The ATC said it has worked with its fitness staff to compile a comprehensive schedule of activities and classes that will be an acceptable substitute for regular water exercises and classes. Stop by the front desk for more information.
