Arts in the Sunset audience continues to grow each month with First Friday Art Walk

Arts in the Sunset continues to see crowds grow each month with its First Friday Art Walks, held at the center for artists and the community to enjoy.

The monthly art walk is held on the first Friday of each month. The February event, held Feb. 2, included live music, fresh free popcorn, food trucks, live glass blowing demonstrations, drawing opportunities, handmade items, voter registration, a place to relax and read and more, all in addition to the many different art pieces on display throughout the facility.

“This has just blossomed. Our first art walk after we reopened had a handful of people, but since, every month, it has grown and continues to grow. We just love all of the feedback from everyone who comes. They are so excited about AAI and Arts in the Sunset coming back. Everyone had nothing but good things to say about our renovations, and it’s so exciting to see every month,” Jan Bailey, an Arts in the Sunset studio artist, said.

With each monthly art walk, many artists participate in the monthly themes centered around holidays or events each month. This month’s art walk had a theme of Valentine’s seen throughout various artists’ work and mediums.
