From windy weather to rain and snow

Hi everyone!

Today is partly sunny, but also windy. Southwesterly winds are blowing between 20 to 40 mph, with higher gusts. Temperatures will respond, warming back into the 50’s and low 60’s this afternoon. Amarillo should top out near 60. Tomorrow, however, looks to cool back into the upper 40’s and low 50’s, along with a chance of rain during the evening hours. The rain may mix with snow after midnight.

Speaking of snow, Sunday, more than likely, will see blowing snow with the possibility of accumulations anywhere from over an inch, to upwards of 10 inches. The Amarillo area could see amounts between 3 to 7 inches. Temperatures will of course stay chilly with highs only in the 30’s. But few worries, sunshine returns for Monday with numbers moderating back into the 40’s.

Have a safe and enjoyable weekend, everyone!
