Downtown Women’s Center celebrates 35th anniversary with spring luncheon

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Downtown Women’s Center announced it would be celebrating its 35th anniversary on Tuesday with a luncheon and pop-up shop at the Amarillo Civic Center’s North Exhibit Hall for the benefit of its organization and services.

As of Monday, the DWC’s website noted that it had sold all of the tables and seats for its Tuesday luncheon, though it had previously offered at least seven levels for potential participants ranging from individual ticket sales up to $30,000 sponsorships.

For the Tuesday event, the DWC said it will host a tax-free pop-up shop both before and after the luncheon for its attendees. Further, the organization is also expected to introduce a new book, “Everyone is Redeemable – Daily Devotional,” during the event.

As described on the organization’s website, the DWC sponsors multiple rehabilitation and housing service programs for women, children and other underserved or at-risk groups, including through its Haven House and Recovery Program.
