3 members, 3 horses inducted into the American Quarter Horse Association Hall of Fame this weekend

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The American Quarter Horse Association is inducting three horses and three members to the AQHA Hall of Fame this weekend, among a full celebration of events.

According to AQHA officials, induction into the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame is the highest industry honor bestowed upon a human or equine. Officials noted that those chosen for induction are recognized for their lifetime of accomplishments and service.

The Class of 2024 Hall of Fame Inductees include:

  • Horses:
  • Frenchmans Guy
  • Blue Valentine
  • Shining Spark
  • Members:
  • Dr. Jim Heird
  • J.D. Yates
  • Paul Jones

The three horses and three AQHA members that comprise the 2024 American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame induction class will be honored Sept. 6 through 7, in Amarillo at the third annual American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame Induction and Reunion Celebration.
