This afternoon will be sunny, breezy, and unseasonably hot. Temperatures will warm into the low to mid 90’s with Amarillo topping out near 92. Tomorrow will be about the same with highs near 90, followed by a 40% to 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms during the evening hours.
As of this writing, severe weather is not expected, but be aware of lightning, sudden downburst winds, pockets of small hail, and brief heavy downpours.
Wednesday looks to be sunny with highs near 91, with a 20% of showers and thunderstorms during the evening hours. Thursday and Friday will follow suit with highs in the low to mid 90’s, along with a 20% to 40% chance of rain at night. The mid to upper 80’s look promising for Saturday and Sunday, while the scattered showers and thunderstorms could continue over the weekend.
