Pantex awards more than $117,000 in 2024 Community Investment Grants

On Monday morning, Pantex donated a total of $117,070.53 to 12 nonprofit groups in grants up to $10,000 each, which were distributed with the assistance of the Amarillo Area Foundation during a check presentation at the foundation’s office in downtown Amarillo.

The grants continue Pantex’s tradition of granting requests from regional nonprofit groups, according to a news release. Now in its ninth year, the CNS Pantex Community Investment Fund has awarded a cumulative $1.34 million with 164 grants to nonprofits in the Texas Panhandle, the company said.

The fund is a partnership between Consolidated Nuclear Security, the managing and operating contractor of the Pantex Plant, and the Amarillo Area Foundation. Clay Stribling, the foundation’s CEO, said, “We so appreciate our great partnership with CNS Pantex and their employees. They are fantastic community partners who truly believe in investing in the well-being of residents in our community. This program is an annual reminder of their generosity and commitment to our region.”
