Scouts from Troop 4086 in Amarillo, the first female troop established in the city since the Boy Scouts opened up for girls in 2019 and changed their name to Scouting America, joined with members of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 9022 and American Legion Post 224 of Dumas Saturday, September 14 at the American Legion/VFW firing range south of Dumas on U.S. 87/287 to conduct an official retirement for over 1,000 American and several Texas flags.
