Paint Canyon ‘maroon’ for WT Homecoming

It’s time to paint the businesses around Canyon ‘maroon and white’ and support West Texas A&M University for its annual Homecoming celebration. Homecoming festivities and alumni events kick off next week around Canyon, Amarillo and the WT campus. Thousands of WT alums and current students, as well as Buff fans are expected to gather in Canyon for the yearly celebration that showcases ‘maroon madness’ on the NCAA Division II campus. According to a WT press release from Chip Chandler, a student-led tradition will return for the first time in five years during WT’s Homecoming Week celebrations. The WT Student Government Association will light the Eternal Flame at the conclusion of the 46th annual Pigskin Revue, a longstanding Homecoming tradition that will move this year to Bain-Schaeffer Buffalo Stadium on WT’s campus.
