TxDOT Amarillo ‘Know Before You Go’ report for the week of Oct. 6

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Texas Department of Transportation Amarillo District released its “Know Before You Go” report for lane closures and detours expected during the week of Oct. 6.

According to TxDOT, road closures and detours expected for the week include:

Monday,

  • The southbound IH-27 exit ramp to 26th Avenue will be closed due to patching operations on the frontage road. The work is expected to take two days to complete.

Throughout the Week

  • Expect various lane and ramp closures on northbound IH-27 from the IH-40 interchange to SW 45th Avenue as crews continue paving operations.
  • Expect various lane closures on eastbound IH-40 at BNSF Railroad, IH-27 interchange, Harrison, Arthur and Ross Streets for continued bridgework. The north and southbound IH-27 entrance ramps to eastbound IH-40 as well as the Washington Street entrance ramp will be closed during this time.
  • Expect various lane closures in both directions of IH-27 at the Bell Street intersection for bridge maintenance.
