Colorado Mesa’s Cole Beyer went low in Amarillo, Texas, and his performance netted him the RMAC Men’s Golfer of the Week award honor.
Beyer was phenomenal for the Mavericks in the Ryan Palmer Invitational at the Amarillo Country Club this week. He got the tournament started with a 2-under par 68 in the first round and a 4-under par 66 in second round, ending the day with 134.
Beyer caught fire in final round, shooting a 7-under 63 to claim the individual title by six strokes. The 63 is the second-best score in Maverick history and the second-best score in relation to par at 7-under.
The senior’s 54-hole score of 197 broke the CMU program record by five strokes.
