AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Independent School District is holding its regular meeting on Oct. 14 at 5:30 p.m . and will look over such items as the 2024-25 district budget and the 2024-25 Campus Improvement Plans goals and performance objectives.
On the agenda is an action item that would look at approving district staff to carry a firearm in accordance with TEC 37.0814 .
Of note, a possible action item includes a letter of retirement/resignation from Superintendent Doug Loomis.
