AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Sunshine for Charlotte non-profit invited the public to The Ronald McDonald House to celebrate Charlotte’s birthday with the Sunshine for Charlotte Playground opening.
According to officials, the event will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Amarillo. The surplus from the 2022 and 2023 SFC race funds made the playground possible.
Amarillo set to host first LEGO Convention
Following the ceremony, officials noted that the non-profit will offer light refreshments and tours of the House, including the Sunshine for Charlotte guest suite, which was fully funded by the proceeds from the 2021 race.
