AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Chicken chili, white broccoli cheese soup, meatloaf and lasagna are just some of the nutritious meals being served to the less fortunate at Transformation Park .
All of it, lending hope, life skills and a helping hand to those in need.
For Melinda Grady, the mission of Transformation Park is close to her heart, and is also one of necessity. “We just don’t believe anybody should be hungry,” said Grady, who serves as Director of Food Services at Transformation Park . “If you’re hungry, you can’t make your best your next best choice. All you’re thinking about is food, you just can’t operate without nutrition, and a lot of these people that we’re feeding are immunocompromised. Their health is an issue, and we want to make sure that they’re receiving a nutritious meal every day.”

We provide meals for them each day at lunch, we also have a component where we feed the homeless and low income people around the city that don’t really they don’t really qualify for any kind of programs,” Grady explained.
