AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The new year is right around the corner and people are getting ready to celebrate to ring it in. The General Manager of M&R Liquor Teron Webb said right now is a busy time for them.
“So the lead up to it, Christmas is definitely the busiest time of year by far and away, but we do have New Year’s Eve, the second busiest day out of the year, followed by Thanksgiving as well, they get all real close to each other, so we are in the busy time right now,” said Webb.

Webb said people are looking for champagne, prosecco, or sparkling wine.
Webb added they will be open on New Year’s Eve from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., due to state law regulations. Webb said that New Year’s Eve is a hectic day.
“There are a lot of people, especially mid-afternoon that are getting ready to go to parties, basically ready for the next day and a half, cause more times than not people have New Year’s Day off too. So, they’ll come in and grab their stuff and not have to get out of the house…We lock our doors at 9 o’clock on the dot, can’t do any business past that and a lot of people will come in, the day of New Year’s thinking we might be open, so definitely do your shopping before,” said Webb.
