On Friday, the Don Harrington Discovery Center will open its doors after hours and charge only one dollar for admission from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. On Saturday, Wildcat Bluff Nature Center will also charge only one dollar for admission all day long.
“You can bring your entire family out and everybody gets in for one dollar,” Kamden Slough, Discovery Center Collective marketing coordinator, said. “We do this discounted admission a couple of times a year just to give families a few chances to come out and enjoy the Discovery Center without worrying about the cost of giving your kids entertainment and learning.”
Slough said the Discover for a Dollar program is aligned with the collective’s mission to spark curiosity in learners across the high plains.
